But given that Netflix only revealed the first teaser for the upcoming eight-episode series starring Jenna Ortega this Monday (June 6), to kick off the first day of Geeked Week 2022, we’re not too surprised it’s missing the streamer list of June releases.

Netflix revealed the following description for the spooky series…

“The series is a detective, supernaturally infused crime that chronicles 16-year-old Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. The first season follows Wednesday as she attempts to master her nascent psychic abilities, foil a monstrous rampage that has been terrorizing the city, and solve the murder mystery that implicated her parents 25 years ago — all while she finds her way in her new and very confused relationships Nevermore.”

When is Tim Burton’s Wednesday coming out on Netflix?

While Netflix has confirmed a 2022 release date, the streamer has yet to announce an exact release date. After all, it’s still early! However, it’s likely that we’ll have to wait quite a bit before the series is available to watch. Our best guess is that the series will hit Netflix sometime in October on a Wednesday as it’s the spookiest time of year and Wed. because … well, you understand? It just makes sense.

While not much is known about the plot, a full cast list has also now been listed by IMDb, revealing Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams and Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams.
