Justin showed up at the Majury family home last July with a shotgun and two cell phones containing hundreds of photos of Ava.

Ava’s father, Rob Majury, 51, shot and killed Justin at 4:30 a.m. after Justin blew up the front door with a gun.

Justin watched and obsess about TikTok Starred for months on the app with the username EricJustin111 before turning to other social media platforms to post her messages.

Ava’s parents allowed her to sell selfies of only her face to Justin, who paid Venmo $300 before demanding explicit photos of her body. The request prompted Rob to step in and text Justin to ask him to stop contacting Ava, who had blocked him on all accounts.

“Those are just pictures of my face, that’s what I assume he’s paying for,” Ava said in her family’s interview on Good Morning America. “My whole thing is my pretty smile – that’s my stuff.”

Unable to contact the girl, Justin proceeds to buy Ava’s photos and personal information from Ava’s friends and even tells one of Ava’s classmates about his plan to harm her after obtaining her. her address.

Ava brought the threats to her family’s attention, but they found the messages to be unreliable. Rob, a former police lieutenant, said he didn’t think Justin would come to his home in Maryland to carry out his “devil plan”.

When the stalker showed up at the Florida home in the middle of the night and blew open the door, Ava, her mother, and her two brothers ran into the bedroom while Rob grabbed the gun and headed to the front of the house.

Rob shot Justin after he failed to lower his shotgun. The teenager, who was never pictured, died later in hospital from his injuries.

“I had to do what I had to do to protect my family and I made sure of it,” the father said.

THE PERFORMANCE MUST CONTINUE

Ava, now 15, has more than 1.2 million followers on TikTok since she joined in 2020, and she plans to continue building her account with her family’s permission.

“Her creations, her contacts, her videos have become such an important part of who she is that it’s hard to take it away,” her father told the New York Times.

Ava has three separate accounts on the popular app, each serving a different audience.

She told Time: ‘I have three TikTok accounts, so I can have a brand come to me and say, ‘Oh, I’ll make $1,000 for a video on your main account,’ and I’ll say, “That’s cool, I have two other accounts with different types of people on them.”‘

“So overall, I’m making $1,700 in my name alone, because I’ve opened three accounts instead of just creating one.”

Despite threats and stalking incidents that continue due to some Obsessed followersThe family remains hopeful and focused on the benefits the platform is providing them.

“We knew there would be two sides and some people wouldn’t understand,” says Ava’s mother, Kim.

“Why should we allow them to stop her? Maybe she wants to bring awareness to all of this. “

Rob Majury is not expected to face any charges in the shootings under the state’s “stay ground” law.

The investigation into the shooting is said to be continuing.
