It was Tiger’s first competitive golf since his near-fatal car accident in February 2021, which resulted in horrific leg injuries.

And he showed glimpses of his old genius, continuing his proud record of making the cut at every Masters he attended.

Clubs used by Tiger during his incredible Major winning streak in 2000 and 2001 were auctioned off by private equity investor Todd Brock.

He reportedly bought it from Titleist Vice President Steve Mata at another auction in 2010 for $57,242.

Mata submitted a polygraph test to prove the Titleist 681-T irons were authentic, and Brock also dug into the archives to photograph the set.

Brock told ESPN, “I’ve had them for 12 years now and I haven’t told anyone I own them.

“They were in my office in a really nice setting and I’m not an investor in memorabilia so nobody saw the irons.

“I’ve had the opportunity to see this for 12 years and it’s like a Rembrandt where someone takes it to their castle and it’s never seen again.

“I felt blessed to hang out with them and watch them, but it’s about time someone else did something bigger and better with them.”

The racquets were used in Woods’ incredible Tiger Slam, where he won the US Open, British Open and PGA Championship in 2000, followed by the Masters in 2001.

They sold at Golden Age Auctions for a whopping $5,156,162, breaking the previous golf memorabilia record set by Horton Smith’s green jacket ($682,000 in 2013).

Woods finished his Masters comeback at +13 and finished the event in 47th place.

He has already announced that he will play at this year’s British Open in St Andrews, which starts on July 14.
