Tiffany Haddish was arrested Friday and charged with driving under the influence, authorities said.
The actor and comedian was arrested after Peachtree City Police received a call around 2:30 a.m. regarding a driver dozing off at the wheel on a highway, Assistant Sheriff Matt. Myers said in a press release. Myers said an officer saw a vehicle matching the caller’s description and stopped Haddish as she entered the courtyard of a mansion.
Haddish then posted a $1,666 bond and was released from the Fayette County Jail, Myers said. He has not released any information about a possible court date.
A spokesperson for Haddish did not immediately respond to an email request for comment.
Haddish is the breakout star of the hit comedy “Girls Trip” and has starred in films like “The Kitchen,” “Night School,” and “Like A Boss.” She also wrote the New York Times bestseller, “The Last Black Unicorn” and hosted the hit TV show “Kids Say The Darndest Things.”
The city of Peachtree is located about 40 miles (63 km) south of Atlanta.
