Under current Pennsylvania law, the annual deadline for the property tax/rent refund program is June 30th.

However, the rules require the Treasury Department to evaluate the program before that date to determine if funds are available to extend the deadline.

The Pennsylvania Department of Treasury has already begun processing rebate payments.

Direct payments begin this Friday, July 1st, with the first round of check payments being sent a day early.

The State Treasury works with the Treasury to process as many payments as possible before the payout date specified in state law.

Payments after this Friday will be processed once applications have been approved by the Treasury Department.
