Thousands flock to Cape Coral Arts Festival

The spike in COVID-19 cases has not hindered the return of this festival. Thousands of people have come to Cape Coral to attend the Cape Coral Arts Festival, which is taking place at Cape Coral Parkway.

Vendors are delighted that the festival is back in its real form and for the potential business it can bring.

The Cape Coral Arts and Music Festival was canceled last year and is taking place almost exclusively due to COVID-19 instead. Businesses and vendors can’t wait to come back and see all of their visitors. Holly Allen owns Lush Wine Mix. “No artificial colors or flavors, would you like a sample?” she asked as patrons passed by.

Allen can’t wait for the return of the festival. She wanted to show off her wine blends. “They come in so many delicious flavors, all natural, nothing artificial, and you can make everything at home and have a freezer bag, no blender needed,” says Allen. , no need stone.

She’s excited to be able to showcase her products in person after the 2021 festival goes virtual. “IThis is just a great opportunity for us to go out here and meet a lot of good people, a lot of buyers and everyone is very friendly,” Allen said.

Ryan McDonough is the owner of Pottery in Paradise, located in Cape Coral. Along with 300 other artists, this is his first time attending the festival.

“I’m still a newbie, so it’s nice to be able to come in here and have all these people come see my store and see that we’re opening in Cape Coral,” McDonough said. “A lot of people are asking where [the] shops too, so that helps a lot. “

Jeremy Niedert is a Cape Coral artist. He hopes the number of people showing up this weekend will help these businesses get more customers. “There’s a lot of people here, and I think it’s one of the biggest places in Southwest Florida,” said Niedert.

“A lot of locals are here, and you get to know them, and you work with them,” says Niedert.

The event continues through Sunday afternoon. And, if you can’t make it to Cape Coral this weekend, there’s a Virtual Arts Festival running through January 28.
