THERE is no sugar coating the Nadhim Zahawi disaster for the Tories.

Over the past year, which has already been marred by several scandals, they appointed a Chancellor who emerged as one of Britain’s biggest tax dodgers.

However, the blame lies with Zahawi.

He kept his financial crisis in front of three consecutive prime ministers, even as they gave him cabinet posts.

He failed to mention it in any declaration of interest, used lawyers to try to deter those investigating, and falsely branded the resulting news as “slander.”

His letter of resignation was once again unworthy of being reproached to the press, which was only doing its job.

It was The Sun who revealed he had paid a tax penalty.

It is strange that No 10 never consulted HMRC about the extent of Zahawi’s problems.

But we don’t blame Rishi Sunak for leaving the final judgment to his ethics adviser.

That’s why Laurie Magnus was hired – even if Labor prefers immediate justice without a trial for Tories.

Once the verdict was in, the prime minister acted immediately.

It’s a sad ending for Zahawi.

Many people owe their lives to his effectiveness in overseeing the Covid vaccination program, even if they will never know.

Indeed, they may marvel at Mr. Maxwell’s lack of imagination.

Now look at today’s evidence that the infamous photo of Andrew and Virginia is real, not the fake Ghislaine Maxwell is now claiming, and this desperate PR stunt is starting to look crazier.

Andrew always lived on another planet.

Apparently his friends do too.

Enough. Have a little respect for the public. Stop insulting their intelligence.
