‘Their record doesn’t match Cristiano’s shoes’ – Piers Morgan points to ‘highly paid’ young players at Manchester United after Ronaldo interview

Journalist Piers Morgan took to Twitter to criticize From Manchester United younger players, accusing them of not having the mentality of the Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
Manchester United receive Aston Villa inside Premier League on Saturday and Cristiano Ronaldo was asked if there was a need to change the mentality of the players at the club. He told Sky Sports:

Morgan took to Twitter to give his opinion on Ronaldo’s interview, criticizing Manchester United’s younger players in the process. He wrote:
“Just watch the whole 20-minute interview. If the whole United team had Ronaldo’s mentality, they’d win everything. But they don’t – too many over-paid, infant people walking around like maybe they’re football gods when their record doesn’t. fit in @Cristiano’s boots.”

Cristiano Ronaldo has been Manchester United’s standout player in a rather disappointing campaign. The Portuguese superstar is the club’s top scorer this season with 14 goals in 21 games in all competitions. The Red Devils are currently 7th in the Premier League, 6 points behind West Ham finished fourth, with two games assigned to the Hammers.

Cristiano Ronaldo was also asked for his opinion on Manchester United’s season so far and what needs to change if they challenge for the top spot in the near future. He say:
“Manchester United should win the league or finish second or third. To be honest, I don’t see any other Manchester United positions. In my eyes, I don’t accept that our mentality is far worse. in the top three in the Premier League now we have the ability to change everything I don’t know specifically as a player, not a coach, not a president, I know the way but I won’t mention it it’s here because I think it’s unethical [sic] from my part to say that. “
“What I can say and things I can say we are in control, we can do it better, all of us. Manchester belongs to the important things, we have to change things. I don’t want to be here in a club to fight to be sixth or seven or five, I’m here to try to win, to compete I think we are competitive but we are We’re not at our best yet.
