The ballet of Jalisco returns to the Degollado Theater with a literary classic, “Cinderella”, a fairy tale that the ballet presents for the first time together with the orchestra Philharmonic from Jalisco (OFJ)under the direction of its main director José Luis Castillo, who will perform the music of Sergei Prokófiev in a production of the Ministry of Culture of Jalisco through the Directorate of Cultural and Artistic Development.

Led by Lucy Arce, Jalisco Ballet presents this story divided into two acts: Cinderella’s House and The Dance. The first shows the lives of Cinderella, her stepmother and her two stepsisters; as well as her meeting with the fairy, who gives her the necessities for the dance and the glass slippers.

For the second act, Jalisco Ballet will recreate the grand dance in which Cinderella and the Prince declare their love and are interrupted by the midnight chime, separating the couple and leaving only the glass slipper as a clue with which the Prince begins his search.
