The Witcher Season 3 isn’t coming to Netflix in May 2022

We’re more than ready to go back to see where Geralt, Ciri, and Yen are now. The waiting for The Witcher Season 3 on Netflix continues.

With Season 2 coming to an end, we’re more than ready to dive back into the world of witchers. There are so many questions we need to answer, including if Geralt Yen can ever forgive her actions just to get her magic back.

However, there is some bad news. After reviewing the list of releases on Netflix in May, one thing stands out. The Witcher Season 3 is not on the list.

To be completely honest, we didn’t expect it. Even if filming had miraculously wrapped up already, we wouldn’t expect the season to be coming any time soon.

When is The Witcher Season 3 coming to Netflix?

There’s some good news about the series. The Witcher Filming for Season 3 began in late March. We’re getting the season, and it’s so good to see there’s no delays this time around. This could help keep the wait for Season 3 to a minimum.

We also received some casting news recently. There are four new actors joining the series and their roles have been confirmed:

  • Robbie Amell as Gallatin
  • Meng’er Zhang as Milva
  • Hugh Skinner as Prince Radovid
  • Christelle Elwin as Mistletoe

We still don’t anticipate the 2022 season. It will take months of filming and then at least eight months of post-production. It just won’t be the time to release the new season in 2022. We’re looking at spring 2023 when it might release. Will Netflix decide to release it in December 2023, in time for the previous two seasons? That would again mean two years between seasons.

Stay tuned for the latest updates about The Witcher Season 3 on Netflix and more.
