ST. LOUIS – Two episodes of Clayton Echard’s “The Bachelor” season aired, and everyone was guessing who would get the final rose. One of those conjectures comes directly from the St. Louis by Jimmy Kimmel.
When Echard appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Monday, Kimmel said his wife Molly McNearney correctly picked 7 of the final 9 winners on the first day of the season.
Kimmel told Echard that the woman in her top 4 would win them all. McNearney, a former student of St. Clare of Assisi and St. Joseph’s Academy, selected the following women:
- Serene – elementary school teacher
- Teddi – nurse and get first impression commission
- Rachel – flight instructor
- Susie – wedding videographer
As Kimmel announced each contestant, Cleto and Cletones started beating the drums. When Kimmel went to see Rachel, he said “Rachel will be in your top two.”
As he prepared to announce what McNearney said was Echard’s number one pick, Kimmel finished with a drumbeat. “Okay, that’s enough. It’s getting annoying,” he said. Kimmel then said McNearney chose Susie.
Echard managed to keep his face as cold as ice during the premiere.
“Look at you, you’re looking right at me. I think I’m in love with you. I don’t know what’s going on,” Kimmel said.
ABC’s “The Bachelor” airs Mondays at 7 p.m
