The Wheel of Fortune participant loses the main prize because he misses an almost finished puzzle with “painfully” mis-guessed letters

A WHEEL of Fortune contestant lost a high-stakes puzzle during Tuesday’s episode in a way fans couldn’t stomach.
Kristal had only two letters left in “Catching Some Waves” when she shouted a “B” – missing a vacation in Barbados.

The Massachusetts-based contestant, who previously revealed she is a “collector,” wandered into the Wheel of Fortune’s special express puzzle.
The puzzle ended with “Catching Some Waves”.
The express puzzle lets a contestant go it alone, but if they choose the wrong letter, they lose all the money they’ve accumulated.
With the entire puzzle on the board, minus a “W” and “V” in “Waves” and no vowels, Kristal stared in confusion.

“B!?” she guessed, causing a false buzz and shock and awe from the audience.
“No” presenter Pat Sajak, 76, replied simply as the crowd audibly swayed.
“And we’re going to Kelly,” the host added as Kristal looked stiff and confused and the next contestant was tasked with solving it.
“Can I solve it?” Kelly asked immediately, to which Pat answered with a beaten “Yeah”.

Kelly then resolved it without hesitation as the camera cut back to all three contestants to allow Pat to quell the suspense.
The host explained, “Sometimes there’s a word in there that’s just a mystery to some.
He turned to Kelly, “And in the end you got it and you’re the one going to Barbados!”
‘UFF’
Game show fans went into a frenzy on Twitter and couldn’t believe Kristal had guessed a two-letter “B” in the common beachy phrase.
“Catch some babes?” A fan posted.
“Did she think the puzzle would catch some babes?” wondered another.
“I haven’t gone in the sea since Jaws and even I know how to catch waves,” admitted a third fan.
“Catch a few waves and she calls a B?? Oooooof,” wrote a fourth.
“This lady just did all the work and then someone else got the trip,” wrote a fourth.
PAINFUL PUZZLES
In the last episode, contestant Barbara forgot to say a word that was written in full on the board while otherwise correctly guessing a riddle.
Halfway through the game, it was her turn to solve a riddle that ended up saying, “I’m taking some time for myself.”
“Take time for me,” she announced.
Barbara forgot the word “some” even though it’s at the top.
Studio audiences were audibly shocked — and she missed a trip to Costa Rica.
“No, that’s not right,” Pat decided and she let out a sad “No…”.
Her rival Cory was so confused by what had happened that he guessed every last letter instead of solving them.
After that, Pat also had to clarify the situation.

“Cory was confused because he didn’t understand why Barbara was wrong,” he told the three players.
“She left out the word ‘something,'” Pat admitted. “She probably didn’t realize she did it.”
