Laryn revealed she is “entering her 31st year” of education and ninth year as headteacher.

However, it was Pat who had to keep her in line during Wednesday’s wild episode.

When Laryn asked for a “P” that hadn’t appeared in a puzzle before, she slammed a standard piece while the audience gasped in surprise.

Laryn then spoke about Pat when the puzzle was solved: “I’m talking now!” he exclaimed.

“You’re out of control. You beat our set; You’re screaming at the steering wheel.”

Laryn replied, “I’m having fun,” to which Pat laughed.

“NO HOST NEEDED”

Laryn made it to the bonus round with $24,000, choosing “What do you do?” as the category and “M, G, D and I” as the letters.

She couldn’t solve it as “achieving my goals” and questioned Pat’s puzzle.

“Alright. Alright. “I’ll do that one day,” she said sarcastically.

Pat looked sideways into the camera and said he was at his wits’ end: “There’s really no need for a host on this show. Just let them do it.”

‘I’M SORRY!’

When Pat revealed what she’d missed out on – a new VW – Laryn screamed.

“AH,” she screamed, causing Pat to throw the winning card in shock.

Pat jumped into the air, seeming exhausted from the scream, as Laryn angrily walked to the other side of the stage.

“I’m sorry,” she replied, to which he replied, “I’m fine,” as the host calmed down.

She hugged him as Pat shook off the wild moment.

“Is Pat okay?”

Laryn left with her $24,000 and Wheel of Fortune fans went into an uproar on X, formerly Twitter.

“I just want my claim to fame to get Pat Sajak tossing the final prize card,” one fan wrote.

“Are you okay, Pat?” wrote another.

“This would be great on America’s Funniest Home Videos,” wrote a third.

“I thought it was $100,000 but it was just the car,” wrote a fourth.

“I need this woman in every episode! I love this woman so much!” wrote a fourth, while a fifth wrote: “What a vibrant director.”

However, a sixth was a critic of the puzzle, writing: “What the hell is it like to achieve my goals? To set my goals. To achieve my goals. To achieve my goals.”

One in eight wrote: “It’s the first week of the final season of Wheel of Fortune and Pat Sajak is already insulting the contestants. That’s what keeps me going.”

A ninth wrote under the clip: “We’ll miss you Pat!”

PAT’S A WRAP!

Season 41 of the game show premiered on Monday and it’s Pat’s last after 40 years at the top.

In June 2023, Pat told fans in a personal note on X, formerly Twitter: “Well, the time has come. I have decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last.”

“It’s been a wonderful ride and I’ll have more to say in the coming months.”

Pat will host until June 2024 and then step down in place of Ryan Seacrest.

Ryan, 42, shared in a statement excited about the news: “I can’t wait to continue the tradition of spinning the wheel and collaborating with the amazing Vanna White.”

Vanna’s contract runs until 2024, when he retires, and she is currently in an unsettled salary fight for a well-deserved raise, her first in 18 years.
