The Voice fans are slamming the producers for “eclipsing” the winner and focusing the entire Season 23 finale on Blake Shelton’s farewell

THE Voice fans have accused the producers that the season 23 finale was all about saying goodbye to Blake Shelton and not about the winner.
The country singer has appeared on the show since its first season in 2011.
Tuesday’s season 23 finale of The Voice kicked off with tribute after tribute to 46-year-old Blake.
Host Carson Daily hosted sections reflecting on the musician’s victories, the show that brought him and his wife Gwen Stefani together and more.
In between, the spectators saw how the finalists performed together with their respective coaches.
Several guest artists were also brought on stage.

Noting how much the show appeared to be about Blake, fans at home took to Twitter to share their thoughts.
Although there were a number of performances by the finalists throughout the show, some felt it was a bit too Blake-heavy.
One critic tweeted, “If I were a finalist this season I would feel this way because I feel like the contestants got lost in the finals and focused so much on Blake Blake Blake.”
“We got it, he’s leaving.”

Another wrote, “They really could have announced the winner in the first 10 minutes and then got on with last season’s whole Blake’s thing.”
A third dissatisfied viewer tweeted: “Okay but no this finale is all about Blake. Maybe it will be turned off until the end when the winner is announced.”
Bias for BLAKE?
Before the episode aired, critics online voiced another concern.
Some viewers have theorized that the show was “rigged” in Blake’s favor.
Fans of the show and critics of Blake took to Twitter to express their frustration with the show and their thoughts on the finale.
One wrote: “My conspiracy mind thinks this season is rigged for Blake but Gina Miles is excellent and deserves the win. She has my vote.”
Another tweeted: “If Blake’s team wins tonight they will be rigged because the number of people voting for Gina is insane!!”
“The vote is clearly geared towards Blake winning his final season,” added a third.
A fourth fan said, “If Blake wins the voice this season then the show is absolutely rigged.”
Bye, BLAKE
In a statement, Blake addressed the fact that he is leaving the show, saying it was just the right time to move on.
He said at the time, “I’ve been struggling with this for a while and I’ve decided it’s time for me to retire after season 23 of The Voice.”
“This show has changed my life for the better in every way and will always feel like home to me.
“It’s been an incredible ride in these 12 chair-changing years and I want to thank everyone at NBC’s The Voice, all the producers, the writers, the musicians, the crew and the catering guys, you’re the best.”
“It takes a lot of work, passion and adult drinks (Ha!) to put on a live show twice a week.
“I have formed a lifelong bond with Carson and each and every one of my fellow coaches over the years, including my wife Gwen.
“I must give kudos to the singers – the ‘voices’ that come onto this stage season after season and amaze us with their talent, and a special thanks to those who have chosen me to be their coach.”

“Ultimately, it’s about all of you, the fans watching and supporting these artists, us coaches, and everyone at The Voice pursuing our dreams.”
“It wouldn’t work without you!”
