The View’s Whoopi Goldberg shocks fans with ‘hot’ rants as producers try to switch to commercials while still on the air live

THE View host Whoopi Goldberg shocked fans with her intense ranting during Tuesday’s episode.
On today’s The View, 67-year-old Whoopi continued to bring her perspective to the morning show’s roundtable discussion on CRT despite the producers attempting to edit a commercial.

During the ABC series, Whoopi and her co-hosts Joy Behar, 80, Alyssa Farah Griffin, 33, Sunny Hostin, 54, and Sara Haines, 45, offered their take on the political right.
Notably, former President Donald Trump, 76, and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, 44.
At some point during the call, the co-hosts’ commentary shifted to the possibility that Governor Ron could be a presidential candidate in 2024, and what that could mean for America.
After bringing up a point about Governor Ron’s opposition to AP African American Studies being taught in his state’s school system, Alyssa finally switched the conversation to Critical Race Theory.

Often referred to as the acronym CRT.
As The View crew delved into the CRT issue, the comedy legend took a moment to drop a mini satchel.
“I wish someone would show me a book. Show me that textbook that everyone is talking about that CRT teaches,” the 67-year-old began.
When Sunny informed her that the untitled “book” is being taught in colleges, the EGOT winner explained exactly which book she wanted to see.

“I want to see what they do with the little kids. I want to see this book. I’m asking for it now because I’m sick of it,” she continued.
“The book you think your children learned from is a book about what happened in our country. And the more you try to avoid things that have already happened, we’ll face them again.”
Throughout her speech, the showrunners played music, prompting Whoopi to end her discourse.
As soon as she finished her statement, the show immediately went into commercial break.
TALK TO MUCH?
Lately, the producers of The View seem to have nudged Whoopi not to comment too much on the show.
When the show aired Monday, people behind the scenes allowed music to be played even during one of Whoopi’s tirades.
Yesterday, after ABC co-hosts Ana Navarro, 51, and Alyssa voiced their strengths to President Biden, Whoopi chimed in, seemingly to the producers’ dismay.
“I’ll say that again. I think it’s really going to depend on what’s in those boxes, because if presidents actually have the ability to declassify things than you know…” Whoopi began.
“…The problem for me is I want us to wait and get all the information and know what we’re talking about, you know.”
Providing her perspective, show co-host Sunny interjected, prompting Whoopi to clarify that her views on the subject are solely her own.
“That’s what I think. That’s just my statement, [President] Joe didn’t say it, Whoopi said it,” Whoopi continued before moving on to the commercial break.
Music played simultaneously the entire time the author was speaking, as if the producers were using it as a signal for her to calm down.

Those behind the scenes at The View who decided to reduce Whoopi’s speaking time may have stemmed from previous inflammatory comments she made during heated discussions on the show.
In 2022, Whoopi was suspended from The View for two weeks because the network ABC called them “false and hurtful comments” about the Jewish people and the Holocaust.
