The View’s Sunny Hostin makes an “incredible” revelation about which co-host she spends “a lot of time” with on outside shows

THE View star Sunny Hostin revealed something shocking in the morning show’s latest audio broadcast.

Sunny admitted during an episode of The View’s “Behind The Table” podcast that she and a special co-star had a relationship that went beyond work.

The 54-year-old lawyer’s disclosure came during the hosts’ discussion about their approach to the famous “Hot Topics” segment.

Sunny confessed that she often “babs out” during daily on-air debates, much like her co-host Joy Behar, 80.

“Joy is also an outlier. We have that in common. I feel like Joy and I are the most similar on the panel,” she revealed.

The show’s producer, Brian Teta, 47, said Sunny’s tidbit was “interesting,” which apparently encouraged her to reveal more facts about the crew.

“Yes I do. We agree on most things, believe it or not, and I spend a lot of time with her outside the studio,” Sunny said about her and Joy’s relationship.

“I think a lot of people don’t know that either. I go to lunch with her, I go to Sag Harbor with her, I go to her house, I stop by and we blurt it out.

“I regret my outbursts, but she doesn’t.”

Sunny didn’t seem to let Joy’s previous shadyness towards her affect their bond.

Earlier this year, Joy went off script with a raunchy dig at the outfit Sunny wore during a show.

The former CNN legal analyst’s outfit caught the comedian’s attention immediately after the show began.

Initial attention was drawn to Joy’s outfit as she wore a rich fuchsia blazer over a deep pink blouse, giving her a vibrant look.

Her co-star Whoopi Goldberg, 67, told Joy that her outfit looked “very sherbet-y” and that she wanted to “lick her shoulder” after observing her appearance.

Sara Haines, 45, another member of The View panel, chimed in and praised Sunny for her equally stylish ensemble, putting both her and Joy’s outfits in the spotlight.

“…Don’t forget Sunny’s dress, it’s beautiful,” praised Sara.

The TV personality’s black, skin-tight dress flattered her petite figure.

It also had a sparkly red pattern on the front with a touch of yellow that brightened the dress up a bit.

Sunny tried to downplay the cuteness of her outfit, telling the panel that she knew “the jokes were coming,” which Joy did.

“Sunny has a phallus on her dress,” Joy joked, making everyone laugh.

Sunny defended her dress, standing up and pointing to the pattern on it while explaining to Joy and the rest of the crew in the studio what it was.

She protested emphatically, “It’s a flower!”

However, the statement only resulted in another NSFW joke from Joy.

“It’s a piece of corn with Peyronie’s disease,” Joy shaded, referring to a disease of the penis.

JOY’S JOKES

Last year, Joy joked that she was “trying to get rid of her co-hosts.”

This came after fans demanded that the show fire Whoopi for her controversial comments about the Holocaust.

Joy made the comments after the former co-host Sherri Shepherd appeared in an episode back in July.

“Sherri, you’ve always wanted your own show, haven’t you?” Joy asked, referring to View alum Sherri’s new talk show, premiering in September.

But before Sherri could answer, Joy continued, “Well, who doesn’t?”

The entire panel erupted in laughter as she added, “I can’t get rid of them no matter how I try!”

Although Joy was joking when she said she wanted her own show, it’s true that some fans weren’t happy with host Whoopi at the time.
