The View’s Joy Behar admits the former co-host “intimidated” everyone but her on the panel

THE View star Joy Behar has always presented herself as fearless and has never been against voicing her opinions.
During a recent episode of The View’s “Behind The Table” podcast, Joy Behar revealed that she had a different opinion about being a co-host than her fellow co-hosts.
During the audio show, View co-host Joy, 80, and morning show executive producer Brian Teta, 47, took a trip down memory lane.
The couple began to reminisce about the late Barbara Walters, a famous journalist who was a central figure from The View’s inception until 2014.
Barbara came up when they were talking about how they tried to stay on time at a certain time for each episode.
It was joked on the podcast that former View co-host panelist Sherri Shepherd, 56, teased that Barbara was the reason they were on time.

Apparently, Sherri confessed that Barbara would “kill” them if they were late.
Joy specified on the show that although Barbara was seen as intimidating and feared by those around her, she never got upset.
“I was never afraid of Barbara. I always went to her house for dinner,” Joy revealed.
“I always teased her…I was never afraid of Barbara. Not in front of me.”

Brian asked Joy if Barbara would cause fear in people in general, to which Joy clarified that people were “more intimidated than feared” by Barbara.
ON THE RECORD
The Behind The Table podcast has had some big revelations lately.
Joy’s co-host Sunny Hostin, 54, admitted on an episode of the Behind The Table podcast last week that she and Joy had a relationship that went beyond work.
The former CNN analyst’s revelation came during the hosts’ discussion about their approach to the famous Hot Topics segment.
Sunny revealed that she often “blats out” on the show, similar to Joy.
“Joy is also an outlier. We have that in common. I feel like Joy and I are the most similar on the panel,” she said.
The show’s producer, Brian, explained that Sunny’s tidbit was “interesting,” which seemingly encouraged her to reveal more facts about the crew.
“Yes I do. We agree on most things, believe it or not, and I spend a lot of time with her outside the studio,” Sunny said about her and Joy’s relationship.
“I think a lot of people don’t know that either. I go to lunch with her, I go to Sag Harbor with her, I go to her house, I stop by and we blurt it out.
“I regret my outbursts, but she doesn’t.”
Sunny didn’t seem to let Joy’s previous shadyness towards her affect their bond.
JOY’S JABS
Last year, Joy joked that she was “trying to get rid of her co-hosts.”
This came after fans demanded that the show fire Whoopi for her controversial comments about the Holocaust.
Joy made the comments after the former co-host Sherri Shepherd appeared in an episode back in July.
“Sherri, you’ve always wanted your own show, haven’t you?” Joy asked, referring to View alum Sherri’s new talk show, premiering in September.
But before Sherri could answer, Joy continued, “Well, who doesn’t?”

The entire panel erupted in laughter as she added, “I can’t get rid of them no matter how I try!”
Although Joy was joking when she said she wanted her own show, it’s true that some fans weren’t happy with host Whoopi at the time.
