The View’s Alyssa Farah Griffin insists Kim Kardashian is a ‘workaholic’ in on-air debate after shadowing star’s family

ALYSSA Farah Griffin defended Kim Kardashian on The View, claiming the Hulu star is independent and career-focused.

The debate began after the show aired a preview of The Kardashians, in which the SKKN mogul opened up about her plans for her love life.

During Friday’s episode of The View, the cast previewed the upcoming third season of The Kardashians.

In the clip, Kim, 42, was seen chatting with her mother Kris Jenner, saying: “I just feel like this is the time I want to stay single because I’m falling fast but this I do not want.”

In the preview, the Kardashian mom asks, “Do you think you’re one of those people who can’t be alone?”

While Kim claimed she loves “being alone,” Kris noted that she’s constantly surrounded by people and “always busy.”

The clip sparked debate at The View about the famous family and this kind of attitude.

Jumping to Kim’s defense, Alyssa said, “I think so too, Kris [Jenner] It’s two different things because I think some people always need a man, but I don’t think Kim is like that.

“I think she’s a workaholic and I think that often requires independence.”

She continued, “If I want to be able to fly somewhere and do that, or if I want to tackle this new project, or if I want to do x, y and z, you have to be able to walk there and to do that.” Doing things on my own and not being so tied to a companion, and I actually think that’s a good thing.”

SHADY LADY

While Alyssa defended Kim in this segment, she previously threw shade at the Kardashian family.

During a May 16 episode of “The View,” the panel chatted about beauty in women’s ages.

The judges praised Martha Stewart, who recently appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated at the age of 81.

Alyssa said during the discussion that they had a number of older stars on the show, including The View’s Joy Behar, who gave her a different perspective on aging.

“What I love about it is that it looks like herself,” the presenter said.

“I’m a little saddened by my generation of women because they’re all trying to conform to the current beauty thing.”

She continued, “Look like yourself. There is only one you. There are already Kardashians. You don’t have to look like one.”

One viewer gasped and Alyssa turned to them and said: “I mean, they’re beautiful. No joke. You are beautiful.”

The audience then laughed as Alyssa finished her statement.

“But that’s a testament to self-love. She looks amazing.”

TEAM SELENA

Alyssa appeared to be shadowing the Kardashians in another segment back in March.

She brutally outshone Kylie Jenner while ranting about the makeup mogul’s alleged feud with Selena Gomez.

During a Hot Topics discussion, moderators addressed the reported feud between Kylie, Selena and Hailey Bieber.

Selena and Kylie used to be friends, but now fans are speculating the pair have become enemies instead.

Fans took to social media to share what they believe to be evidence, including videos and photos of reality star and friend Hailey, who is married to Selena’s ex Justin.

After a few weeks of back-and-forth, the View panelists decided to share their thoughts on the matter.

Whoopi Goldberg began by introducing the topic: “It started with fans of Gomez accusing Jenner and Bieber of posting unflattering things about them on social media.

“…Both insist that there is no feud at all. So what the hell? What’s up?”

She then handed it to Alyssa, as the moderator knows the newcomer has been following the alleged feud closely.

The 33-year-old began, “OK, the internet isn’t always what you think it is, so I’m going to believe Selena Gomez — although in that case, I’m always Team Selena.” But it seemed like they were ganging up on her!

“They posted something where she makes fun of them and it…they just made fun of their eyebrows and that’s a touchy subject for me too.”

Alyssa went on to explain why she’s siding with Kylie on the Disney grad’s side: “What I love about Selena Gomez is that she has a positive body, she doesn’t wear makeup, and she’s committed to good causes.”

“As the woman with the most followers on social media, she uses her platform for good causes.

“No digs at Kylie Jenner, the second most followed, but I have a feeling these are more thirst traps.

“And something like, ‘Come over to my page and think maybe one day you could look this good if you have enough money to buy it.'”

The View presenter then briefly apologized as she felt her comment came across as a dig at Kylie.

“I’m sorry that was shady, but I love Selena Gomez,” she said.

Joy chimed in, saying, “Wow, that was a mean girl comment right there.”

Alyssa laughed as she admitted, “I know I was just there.”

Kylie and her friend Hailey sparked speculation that they were “bullying” Selena after Kylie posted pictures to a TikTok that appeared to mock her.
