The View’s Alyssa Farah Griffin casts “shadows” at Sara Haines in an awkward moment amid the new star’s tensions with co-hosts

THE View’s Alyssa Farah Griffin shadowed co-star Sara Haines during an awkward moment on Monday’s show.

Alyssa, 33, delivered a dodgy punch to co-host Sara, 45, on Monday’s episode of The View as panelists debated online culture.

During the show, the ABC hosts brought up the topic of age-appropriate responses to news as they evaluated a media company’s “social media etiquette” rules.

Bringing up one item on the list that she found annoying, Sara admitted, “I was offended by that… ‘People over 30 need to stop using GIFS in answers.’

From Sara’s point of view, older people have the same right to use GIFs, Graphics Interchange Formats, as younger generations, to which her co-host Sunny Hostin, 54, agreed.

Sara explained, “Sometimes a GIF says it way better than anything…”

Since Sara pronounced the “G” in GIF with a soft G, the former press secretary interjected to correct her, telling her that GIF was pronounced with a “hard G.”

A seemingly embarrassed Sara replied: “I thought it was GIF like peanut butter [Jif]; now you’ve just proved her point…”

Alyssa poked fun at the Smith College alum and dodgy told her she was “well over 30”.

Trying to soften the blow, the Patrick Henry College graduate said, laughing, “I’m just kidding.”

The political strategist’s recent altercation with her correspondent highlights the growing tensions between the two.

In fact, tensions have been brewing between Alyssa and the other table members for the past few months.

Alyssa was snubbed by her co-hosts in a series of cold off-camera moments in October.

When the talk show was taped on Oct. 6, Alyssa was ignored by host Whoopi Goldberg, 67, Sara, Sunny and Ana Navarro, 51 – Joy Behar, 80, was not at the panel that day.

An eyewitness exclusively told The US Sun: “During commercial breaks between Hot Topics segments, Alyssa was mostly on the phone while the other women talked to each other.

“Sunny was the only one who initiated the conversation with Alyssa, although she mostly spoke to her other co-stars.”

The source added that while the women waited to film an interview with guest Tamron Hall, Whoopi, Sara and Ana stood in a circle and chatted while Sunny spoke to a crew member.

Alyssa stood alone until the crowdwarmer asked her to show off her “sexy” heels to the audience.

The insider went on to claim, “When they wrapped filming with Huma Abedin, Sunny spoke to the guest while Sara, Whoopi and Ana chatted in their own group.

“Alyssa just stood there awkwardly as she waited for one of her co-stars to include her.”

THINGS CHANGE

How things stand between Alyssa and the other hosts on The View now seems a long way from where they were.

Back in August, Alyssa opened up about how she felt about each member of the panel in an interview with People.

Although fans often call out to Sunny for shadowing Alyssa during her live broadcasts, she admitted she learned a lot from the lawyer and has some very positive feelings for her.

Alyssa began, “I adore her. she is brilliant It’s important for me to have met her because we have such different backgrounds and lived experiences.”

She added that she thinks Sunny is “an amazing woman.”

As for Joy, Alyssa loved how “strong” she is “in her beliefs,” while still finding a way to humorously communicate her opinions.

“Humor is one of the greatest healers and our country needs more of it,” the The View host continued.

When it came time to talk Whoopi, Alyssa couldn’t help but gush about how “iconic” the comedian is.

She admitted that she’s followed the actress’ career “all her life” and observed how well she “resonates with people.”

While chatting about Sara, Alyssa revealed why she has great respect for the Chase host.

First, she said Sara was so “kind and thoughtful,” adding that she finds the way Sara is able to express herself on the talk show “inspiring.”
