The Upshaws Season 2 Part 2 Release Updates Cast Episode Count and More

We have great news to share, Netflix Lifers! Netflix just announced a release window for The Upshaws Season 2 Part 2. The first part of the second season premiered on June 29, 2022 and left viewers on a cliffhanger. We can’t wait to see how the story continues in the latter part of the season.

The Upshaws is a Netflix Original Series created by Regina Y. Hicks and Wanda Sykes. It follows an African American working class family in Indiana as they try to navigate life’s ups and downs.

The family sitcom was very successful on Netflix. In fact, Netflix renewed the series for a third season. People absolutely love this series and can’t get enough of it because it’s very funny and relatable. It also has an incredible cast including Wanda Sykes, Mike Epps, Kim Fields, Page Kennedy, Gabrielle Dennis and more.

So when will The Upshaws is Season 2 Part 2 arriving on Netflix? We’ve shared everything there is to know about Part 2 right below!

The Upshaws Season 2 Part 2 Release Updates

Unfortunately, we don’t have an official release date yet. However, Netflix has announced that Part 2 will be released in early 2023. The last we could possibly see as Part 2 is April 2023. But we’re keeping our fingers crossed for a January or February release. We’ll be sure to update you as soon as Netflix announces the official release date.

The Upshaws Season 2 Part 2 Episode Count

When Netflix ordered a second season in June 2021, they placed a 16-episode season order. The first eight episodes were part of Part 1, so you can expect the remaining eight episodes to appear in Part 2.

We don’t have an official cast list yet, but you can definitely expect to see Mike Epps (Bernie Shaw), Kim Fields (Regina Upshaw), Wanda Sykes (Lucretia Turner), Page Kennedy (Duck), Diamond Lyons (Kelvin Upshaw) , Khali Daniya-Renee Spraggins (Aaliyah Upshaw), Jermelle Simon (Bernard Upshaw), Gabrielle Dennis (Tasha Lewis) and Journey Christine (Maya Upshaw) in Part 2.

We’ll likely see the return of some of the returning cast members as well. Finally, new cast members could be added in the latter part of the season.

What could part 2 of The Upshaws season 2 be about?

The second season ends with Benny and Lucretia in prison after being arrested for allegedly buying and reselling stolen car parts. Regina quits her job, Aaliyah’s relationship with her best friend Savannah gets really difficult, and Savannah kisses Kelvin. The story will most likely pick up where it left off and we’ll see the aftermath of everything that happened in the final moments of Part 1. We’ll also see the Upshaws overcome more obstacles throughout the rest of the season.
