It’s no secret that the abrupt end of his “Amazing Spider-Man” experience blinded Andrew Garfield. Like him said in 2017: “I broke my heart a little bit.” The challenge let him down with the big camera ,; However, in the years since, he has softened his stance on his time as web manager and studio decisions.
Talking to Diversity in 2021, Garfield admitted what many had long suspected: He clashed with the head of Sony Pictures at the time, Amy Pascal. Looking back now, Garfield sees both sides of the coin.
“I had karma with Amy Pascal, who was a mother, and we would fight, but in the end, we loved each other on a deep level,” he explains. “We tried to meet in the middle as much as possible about why I wanted to do this role and her needs as head of the studio.”
