A TIKTOK user claiming to be a time traveler shared a bizarre clip purporting to show the World Cup finals including the teams and the result.
TikTok user @worldcuptimetraveller shared TV footage of full-time scenes from games they claim to have recorded in the future.
Back in 2021, the mysterious poster formerly known as @nsh.official seemed to correctly predict the final outcome of the delayed Euro 2020 tournament.
They shared a clip showing Italy winning the final 2-1, which came true just a few weeks later.
Now the same user has sensationally claimed that he knows who will be in the final of this year’s World Cup and how it will end.
They shared footage they claimed was taken three weeks in the future at the World Cup final and claimed that Brazil will beat France 2-1.
The clip, shared with her 53,000 followers, shows Brazilian players and fans celebrating while a dejected Olivier Giroud bows his head.
On screen is Brazil 2 – France 1 score line with official looking World Cup on screen graphics.
The screen even shows the apparent scorers in the World Cup final, leaving very little wiggle room for the self-proclaimed time traveller.
According to the clip, Brazil’s goalscorers will be Marquinhos and Richarlison, while Griezmann scores for the French.
In the short video, which has garnered nearly 2 million likes, the TikTok user said, “Brazil just beat France in the 2022 World Cup final. I’m a time traveller.”
The prediction could still come true as both France and Brazil advance to the quarterfinals.
Les Bleus plays against England, of course, while the Selecao take on Croatia.
The user added in the caption that he “helped you like last year” in reference to a video he made for the Euro 2020 final.
Many were impressed by the “time traveller’s” editing skills, even if they doubted their claims.
“Why does it look so… real,” said one user.
“Imagine him doing it right again,” added another.
But others were quick to point out that the clip of Brazil fans celebrating was actually taken of Richarlison’s goal in their World Cup opener against Serbia.
While another pointed out that Giroud’s France kit appears to have just one star above the crest, meaning it must be from before the 2018 World Cup final, when France won the competition for the second time.
As well as claiming to have seen the final result coming, the TikTok user shared a clip of England beating Ukraine 4-0 in the quarterfinals before the game even started.
However, one TikTok user pointed out that the seemingly unnerving accuracy of the time traveler’s predictions isn’t all it seems.
Although they seem to have got some results right, they also reportedly deleted a number of predictions that didn’t come true.
