The woman, named Cole, shared in a TikTok what she called a “ridiculous” situation between her and her landlord.

While scowling, she explained, “Our house manager came to our friggin’ front door and said she heard all about our curtains.”

Then she showed a row of white curtains hanging from a cord on her balcony.

Cole added, “They are nice and block the parking lot.”

The video also has the full message, “Nowhere in the lease does it say we can’t have these,” along with the caption, “Annoyed is beyond description.”

Whether Cole or the landlord was at fault became the subject of heated debate in the comments section.

Several people sided with Cole, including one who wrote, “Tell them to mind their own business unless it says in the lease.”

Another commented, “Once the landlords figure out how to get our money without letting us physically exist…”

“If she asks again, make sure you put it in writing asking for her to show you where your CURRENT lease doesn’t allow it! I hate property management,” read one comment.

Meanwhile, others supported the landlord, saying curtains aren’t usually allowed on apartment balconies for a reason.

“They only do this so the building aesthetic looks good from the street. If it stays nice, it will attract new tenants,” one person explained.

Another quipped: “You’re not allowed to alter the outside part of the building. Remember they are just enforcing the rules.”

Another added: “Most apartments have rules about fire hazards.”

In a subsequent video, Cole wrote that she was on her way to Home Depot to treat herself to some umbrellas.

In other news, a landlord shared that he had two renters from hell – they left the place unlivable, roach-infested and it smelled “unbearable”.

Meanwhile, a group of roommates came up with a plan to get their security deposit back after ruining their carpet, but failed epically.
