She had her ankle tagged and had just returned home from shops in Curitiba when she was shot from a parked car.

But none of the 20 bullets reported fired at Marodin hit her, although a friend was hit and taken to hospital.

Video shows her car pulling into the driveway and the pair getting out before they frantically take cover as they open fire.

Marodin’s life attempt came after her husband, Ricardo Marodin was murdered at one of their children’s birthday parties in November, days before her arrest.

According to local media, Camila Marodin became one of the gang’s leaders after her execution.

Camila was arrested in the city of Matinhos, about a 1.5-hour drive from Curitiba, by police investigating the gang.

She has denied all the charges against her.

Her attorney, Claudio Dalledone, said her current home is the third home his client has lived in since she was tagged with her ankle in mid-December.

She frequently changed addresses due to the obvious threat to her life, with Marodin telling her attorney that she frequently noticed suspicious activity nearby.

Four men are said to have shot Ricardo Marodin as he left the venue where the party was taking place.

Ricardo is suspected of leading a drug cartel and according to Dalledone, an ongoing war has broken out between rival gangs.

Three days after the murder, two men including a former police officer were fatally shot in the same vehicle believed to have been used in the attack.

The charges Marodin faces stem from when investigators found £182,000 in her account.

During the same operation to arrest her, 13 properties believed to be from the gang and worth a total of £701,000, were seized.

Police also confiscated five cars – two Audis, a Honda, a Camaro and a Porsche – as well as 39 weapons and £16,800 in cash.

Also during the time police were carrying out 40 wanted warrants, a man with a criminal record was shot and killed, allegedly while “reacting” to an impending arrest.
