Yes it is. Cage turned down a role in “The Lord of the Rings,” specifically by Aragorn, telling the magazine, “There were different things going on in my life at that time that kept me from going. travel and away from home for three years.”
The role went to Viggo Mortensen instead, and cinematic history was made. It’s hard to say if 1999 Cage was the right choice to play Ranger of the North, but he certainly makes for an enjoyable Aragorn.
