Longtime Guardian Angela Kelly, 70, who served 25 years and moved to Windsor Castle after the Queen’s illness, was also recognized.
The 12 pallbearers who carried the Queen’s coffin – many who were recalled from service in Iraq after the Queen’s death – have all been given the gong, the palace has announced.
Also on the roll of honor were members of the RAF flight crew that transported the Queen’s coffin from Scotland to London.
Members of the RVO are a gift from the King and are awarded independently of Downing Street to those who have served the monarch or the royal family in a personal way.
Prince Andrew was welcomed back into the royal family and attended a service and reception for the RVO at Windsor Castle on Tuesday with 600 guests including the King and Duke of Edinburgh, The Sun exclusively revealed.
