The Queen marks 70 years on the throne with a royal reception at Sandringham

The Queen threw a thrilling party at Sandringham to mark her incredible 70 years on the throne.
King95, met members of Norfolk’s Women’s Institute and local charities the night before on the eve of her Joining Day.
Tomorrow marks the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with celebrations to be held around the country.
Monarch was only 25 years old when she began to reign following the death of her father, King George VI.
She is currently the longest reigning and longest-lived king in our nation’s history.
The Queen was presented with a cake specially prepared by a Sandringham local to commemorate this important event.
She also received a photograph that included flowers from her Coronation bouquet in 1953.
The Hunstanton Concert Band also played Congratulations to the Queen as she left the party last night.
Other guests included Angela Wood, who helped create the original recipe for Coronation Chicken in 1953.
Harry Humphrey – mayor of Kings Lynn – presented the Queen with a Loyalty Address and a Platinum Mosaic created by Norfolk students.
It comes after the Palace released a touching video Monarch caresses her pet Dorgi as she reads cards and memorabilia.
The Queen will mark the day privately as she prepares for her first Accession Day without her father.

This day will be even more poignant for the Queen as it is her first day without Prince Philip following his tragic death last April.
She comes to Sandringham each year to mark Accession Day and is expected to stay until the end of the month.
This estate is where her father died, aged 56, in 1952 while she was on holiday with Philip in Kenya.
She was crowned at Westminster Abbey the following year.
Britain will mark the Queen’s 70th year on the throne with a four-day bank holiday in June.
