The PSG megastar was in line for an awkward Cristiano Ronaldo reunion at Al-Nassr as he will become a ‘free transfer’.

CRISTIANO RONALDO faces an awkward reunion with Sergio Ramos at Al-Nassr.

The two were longtime teammates during Ronaldo’s nine years at Real Madrid.

In fact, their 28,440 minutes on the pitch together for Los Blancos means Ramos has played more football with Ronaldo than anyone in football.

Ramos, 37, left the Bernabeu for Paris Saint-Germain in 2021 but with his contract expiring, Marca say he could follow in Ronaldo’s footsteps by joining Al-Nassr as a free agent.

The Saudi club spend a whopping £173million a year to have Ronaldo on their side – and they’d likely find plenty of money for Ramos too.

However, this could trigger a difficult moment when Ramos joins Ronaldo in Riyadh.

That’s because Ramos declared Lionel Messi the greatest footballer of all time – and not Ronaldo.

Ramos, who is now team-mates with Messi at PSG, told the Ligue 1 giants’ internal media outlet that he expects the Argentine to bring his nemesis Ronaldo to GOAT day.

The Spanish defender, who belongs to an elite group that plays with both icons, said: “There was pain in the game against Messi for several years.

“I enjoy it now.

“He’s the best player football has ever produced.”

Messi caused a lot of trouble for Ramos and Ronaldo and their Real Madrid teammates with a record 26 El Clasico goals.

Ironically, Ronaldo represented the Saudi Pro League XI against PSG in one of his first games since his shock move – with both Ramos and Messi for the French side.

And it was a howl from the centre-back that gave Ronaldo his goal.

Although like Ramos, Messi’s current PSG contract expires this summer – and he could travel to the Middle East if he decides against a dramatic Barcelona return.
