A PILOT threatens to crash into a Walmart after allegedly stealing a plane while police evacuate the store.

Police have helped Walmart and the Dodges dealership evacuate their stores.

Around 5 a.m. Saturday, police were told that a plane, believed to be King Air, was flying over Tupelo, Mississippi.

The pilot called emergency services and threatened to crash into the Walmart on West Main Street.

Police asked people to avoid the area until the all clear.

The danger zone is much larger than the city as it is easy for an airplane to avoid.
