The team celebrated after winning the EC Surfacing Ltd Scunthorpe & District Football League Division One title.

They won 25 of their 29 games in all competitions – adding the league trophy to the Challenge Cup and Sporting Shield.

The club’s 18 players paid £40 each to hire the bus and left their local pub, the Talbot Inn, on Saturday for a pre-arranged route through Scunthorpe, Lincs.

After an hour they stopped for a quick pint before re-boarding ahead of a night of BBQ and karaoke at the Talbot.

Player boss Craig Hunsley, 36, said: “One of the guys suggested that if we win the treble we do it for fun.

“I thought we were all going to feel a little silly, but it was one of the funnest two hours of my life.

“We were followed by cars honking and people coming out of the shops waving and cheering. It was magical.”

Sales manager Craig added: “We are made up of steelworkers, an elementary school teacher and car salesmen.

“None of us train – we all have kids so there just isn’t enough time.”

Footage of their celebrations has gone viral online and has been viewed more than 750,000 times – including by ex-England ace Peter Crouch, 41, who called the parade “spectacular”.
