The other Fast & Furious actor you forgot with Dwayne Johnson

On the Comedy Central show “Striking the Madness with Josh Horowitz” (via YouTube), Tyrese Gibson spoke of her own feud with Dwayne Johnson, claiming that any issues between the two of them had been talked about.

“By the way, The Rock and I have reached a climax,” said Tyrese, continuing the conversation about potential spin-offs for his “Fast & Furious” Roman Pearce character. “We talked for four hours about three weeks ago. That was great.”

The problems between the two stars began in 2017, when plans for a “Fast & Furious” spin-off starring Johnson’s character Luke Hobbs first began to stir rumors. Tyrese took to social media at the time, asking Johnson not to move forward with spinoff, and in order not to delay the release of what was eventually called “F9: The Fast Saga.” Saying that Johnson had not returned his messages, Tyrese took to social media twice more in the following months, first blaming Johnson for the delay the release of the ninth film and said that Johnson made the franchise on himself.

This continued as the spinoff was officially announced, focusing on Hobbs as well as Jason Statham’s character Deckard Shaw. As a result, Tyrese took to social media again, revealing that his character had been offered a supporting role before, alongside Ludacris’ character Tej, but Tyrese had declined (via EW).

“F9” is available to rent on AppleTV and Amazon now.
