The NFL announces the New York Jets are being filmed for the new Hard Knocks show – leading fans to fear a TV ‘curse’

THE NFL has decided who will appear on this year’s edition of the popular TV show Hard Knocks.
The New York Jets have been picked for this year’s Hard Knocks and fans are concerned about the TV ‘curse’.
Ironically, the Jets have very publicly expressed their disinterest in it, but the NFL has nevertheless decided that New York will perform on “Hard Knocks,” per ESPN.
NFL fans were quick to flock to Twitter after the news, fearing the Jets would be in trouble.
One said: “Hard punches, curse in full effect!! In all jet forecasts, the under.”
Another explained: “Jets got the Hard Knocks curse.”


However, some fans commented that this was going to be a great Hard Knocks season.
This fan proclaimed, “This is going to be a masterpiece.”
Another said: “Absolute cinema.”
And a third: “I can’t eat to watch.”

Jets coach Robert Saleh revealed earlier this summer that the team had no interest in the HBO and NFL Films show.
But the Jets have no choice.
They were one of four teams eligible under the league’s criteria — teams with first-year coaches and current playoff teams are excluded.
The Jets switched to legendary former Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers this season break and hope he can help the team end a 12-year streak of missed playoffs.
The team is full of bright young stars, led by star cornerback Sauce Gardner and prolific WR Garrett Wilson.
New York also appeared on the hit HBO series in 2010 with then-head coach Rex Ryan, whose antics and persona would give fans a season to remember.
