Nicole Glass and Melissa Mason, both 27 at the time, were strangled at their home near 42nd Street and Cambridge Avenue, according to 12 News.

Mason was also pregnant at the time, and her death was devastating to both families.

“I loved her with all my heart,” said Rachel, Glass’s mother.

“She was outgoing and had everything to herself. Taken away in a minute,” she continued.

To make matters worse, the case has remained open as police have never identified a suspect in the killings or even obtained legitimate leads leading to a suspect.

No motive has been confirmed either.

Despite this, local law enforcement officials have said they have collected sufficient evidence to conduct DNA testing but have not received a positive match result.

Sgt. of the Phoenix Police Department. Brian Bower told 12 News they continue to seek help from the community to get justice for Glass and Mason.

“Twelve years later, we’re still reaching out to the community to try and gather any tips that might lead us to gather a little more information about who is responsible.”

So far, no witnesses have come forward who would have heard or seen anything that day.

Police have decided to put up a billboard on 7th Street and Lincoln Drive to draw attention to the search for leads on the 27-year-old’s killer.

They also upped a previous reward for information to $13,000.

According to 12 News, anyone who knows anything can contact Silent Witness anonymously by calling 480-WITNESS.

Despite the lack of information in 12 years so far, Rachel said she won’t stop trying.

“There will never be a closure,” Rachel explained.

“I will never stop until I have justice for my daughter.”
