A NEW study has revealed the most dangerous countries in the world – with the lowest risk destinations all in Europe.
Research conducted by International SOS shows that the most dangerous place to visit in 2022 is Afghanistan, followed by Syria, Libya, Central African Republic and Iraq.
Rating countries from low to extreme risk, the threats analyzed include political violence, social unrest, healthcare and the impact of the pandemic, as well as petty crime.
This year, the annual Risk Assessment also covers Covid risks, including travel and mental health disruption.
Afghanistan has the highest level of Extreme risk to security, warning of “minimal government control and law and order” and Very High Risk to health, warning of “almost does not exist.”
The safest places are found in Europe, with Norway at the top.
This is followed by Finland, Switzerland, Denmark and Luxembourg.
The UK is also considered low risk in terms of security and health risk, although medium risk for domestic operations related to Covid.

International SOS Research 2020 Mali is the most dangerous, while Afghanistan is in ninth place.
