He has been missing since April 26.

Decero’s body suffered physical trauma and first responders pronounced him dead at the scene, according to Fox 29.

He was shot, stabbed, beaten and burned, police confirmed.

Officials are investigating whether Decero was tortured before his death.

Surveillance footage shows him double-parking in South Philadelphia before getting out of his Jeep. He then gets out of his car and into another, which drove away shortly after.

Decero’s family later found his car while looking for him.

Police were investigating a possible lottery win as a motive after local media linked Decero to a winning ticket.

That state’s lottery service said that someone named Francis D won $1 million on the Extreme Green scratch card, according to Newsweek.

The Philadelphia Police Department told The US Sun that they could neither confirm nor rule out Decero’s lottery win.

Police Capt. Jason Smith said investigators coordinated with lottery officials and found no evidence Decero won the lottery, according to Fox 29.

Authorities will continue to follow other leads linked to this case.

Decero’s father, Lou Decero, spoke to CBS News Philadelphia and said he wanted to know why this happened to his son.

“I just hope they find out who did this, that’s what I want to know,” he said. “Everybody loved that kid,” Lou Decero told CBS News Philadelphia.

He expressed that his son often took him out to dinner and that he couldn’t have a better son than Francis.

“I need to know who did this, there was no reason. I don’t know who would do it [have] I hope they find him,” Lou Decero told CBS News Philadelphia.
