The man “confesses killing and dismembering four men in the junkyard” before their bodies were found in the river

A MAN reportedly told a woman he had killed and dismembered four men, according to an affidavit that he “dismembered” them.

Joseph Kennedy, 67, is accused of killing four men at his junkyard in east Oklahoma on October 9.

The affidavit, unsealed Thursday and signed by Assistant District Attorney Carman Rainbolt, details an exchange Kennedy had with a woman in Gore, Oklahoma.

Kennedy, described by police as a person of interest in the case, allegedly told the woman that he killed and dismembered the men for stealing from him.

The affidavit was filed by prosecutors trying to increase Kennedy’s bail.

The bodies of brothers Mark and Billy Chastain, 32 and 30, Mike Sparks, 32, and Alex Stevens, 29, were found October 14 in the Deep Fork River in Okmulgee.

The men are believed to have left a home on their bicycles on October 9 in Okmulgee, a town of about 11,000.

Kennedy was arrested Oct. 17 in Daytona Beach, Fla., while driving a stolen vehicle, Okmulgee Police Chief Joe Prentice said.

After his arrest, Kennedy was extradited to Oklahoma.

He was not formally charged in the deaths of the four men, but Okmulgee County Jail records show that he was posted on $10 million bail in connection with charges of assault and assault with a deadly weapon in 2012 being held.

Kennedy was still on probation for this crime.

The US Sun also previously reported that Kennedy was arrested at least once in the past for shooting at thieves.

Police say GPS data linked Kennedy to the murders.

It comes as family members of three of the victims have filed a wrongful death lawsuit against person of interest Joseph Kennedy and his wife Sandra Kennedy, reports FOX23.

GPS recordings tracked one of the victim’s phones to two separate junkyards in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, both owned by Kennedy.

One of the junkyards also had evidence of a violent incident, police said.

Plaintiffs in the lawsuit are Megan Gordon, Jessica Chastain and Karen Sparks, who are suing on behalf of the four men.

Joseph Kennedy is put on record as responsible for the deaths of the three men.

“At this time, there is much circumstantial evidence pointing to Joseph Kennedy as the perpetrator that caused the deaths of these individuals,” said Robert Seacat, plaintiffs’ representative.

It is believed that Sandra Kennedy was not involved in the murders, but court documents show that she filed for divorce on October 19, the same day police arrested her husband.

The divorce petition called for Sandra to be granted all of the couple’s titles and real estate.

“Normally, I probably wouldn’t have filed so quickly, but on the 19th, Sandra Kennedy filed a dissolution petition, and in that petition she claimed that all of her real estate should be awarded to her,” Seekatze said.

Joseph and Sandra sold one of their dumpster businesses sometime after the victims were reported missing.

Joseph also disappeared shortly after the sale was completed.

“If I let this man and his family liquidate all his assets, there will be no compensation. There will be no justice [the families]. That’s why I was so quick to file, apply for, and obtain this injunction,” Seacat said.
