The major burger chain is launching “infused” burgers nationwide – where you can get the new menu item

SMASHBURGER releases a cheeseburger with a twist – the cheese contains macaroni.

The fast-food chain announced the debut of the S’mac & Cheese Burger late last month.

The new burger will feature a layer of macaroni and cheese on an Angus patty in a toasted artisan bun.

Smashburger announced the new combo in a press release.

“As a leader in the fast-casual space, Smashburger prides itself on being at the forefront of taste innovation — constantly pushing the boundaries of taste with quality ingredients to create delicious new menu items,” said Carl Bachmann, President of Smashburger.

Bachmann further described Smashburger’s unique method of incorporating macaroni and cheese.

“For this dish, we use our proprietary smashing technique to smash up the mac and cheese on the grill to create a crispy and flavorful layer of baked cheese before adding it to the burger,” he said.

Customers can also request macaroni and cheese to be applied to other sandwiches, including Smashburger’s Chicken Sandwich.

To further attract curious customers, Smashburger is offering fans a chance to win a macaroni-shaped body pillow to celebrate the burger’s debut.

Several other fast food chains are expanding their seafood offerings in time for Lent.

• Prawns with parmesan crust, garlic and herbs

And for a new snack, you’ll soon be able to buy AMC theater-style popcorn at Walmart.

The theater chain is working with the retail giant on an exclusive line of popcorn called Perfectly Popcorn.

The popcorn will be available in microwaveable and ready-to-eat bags.
