A LOVE Island star has revealed the brutal reason he signed up to Celebs Go Dating.

Liam Reardon appeared on the latest season of the popular E4 show rumored to be looking for love.

He took part in the series after splitting from Millie Court, with whom he won Love Island in 2021.

However, the reality star has revealed that he didn’t take part in the show to meet his true love.

Speaking to Chloe Burrows, the 23-year-old admitted he joined Celebs Go Dating for the money.

He said, “I went for it because it was a business opportunity, for the money.”

“If you’d asked me two years ago when I was at a construction site, ‘You go to a show and you do a few days and you get paid for it,’ I would have said, ‘Damn it.’ ‘.”

“I knew it was a controversial thing because it was only two months after my and Millie split,” he added.

Liam said at the time he was “not ready for a date on TV” but he needed to take the opportunity.

Meanwhile, in a previous candid interview with The Sun, Liam admitted he’s still not over his Love Island ex-Millie Court.

The former couple announced their split in July.

“I wasn’t planning to talk about it because I felt vulnerable,” Liam told us.

“When I first arrived at Celebs Go Dating I was still hurt and am still dealing with it to this day.

“Since doing the show, I’ve learned to put it aside and focus on myself.”

Despite no longer being together, Liam discussed taking part in ‘Celebs Go Dating’ with Millie – who encouraged him to do so.
