Manuel Garcia-Rulfo stars The Lincoln Attorney as defenseman Mickey Haller, who is back in the saddle after a few personal setbacks. Returning to work in a big way, he takes on the high-profile murder case of a tech billionaire.

The series also stars Neve Campbell and Becki Newton as Haller’s ex-wives, as well as other supporting characters that make the charming legal drama a must-see.

How many seasons of The Lincoln Lawyer are there?

As of May 2022, there will only be one season of The Lincoln Attorney available to stream on Netflix. If you want to learn more about the story, check out the Michael Connelly book series or the 2011 film of the same name, starring Matthew McConaughey as Mickey Haller.

Will The Lincoln Lawyer have a second season?

Yes! On June 14, Netflix announced The Lincoln Attorney was renewed for season 2. Netflix typically announces renewal decisions as early as a month after the release of a new series or season, although the streamer has been known to recently extend the wait to three months or more. Luckily we only had a month.

The Lincoln Lawyer Season 2 Release Updates

Since The Lincoln Attorney Season 2 has gotten the green light from Netflix, don’t expect a very long wait between seasons. The cast and crew appear to be working towards the end of 2022 to film another season for a release the following year.

A second season could arrive as early as late summer 2023, although with a production completion date tentatively set for March 2023, a fall 2023 release is more likely. If anything, the season could be released sometime in October or November 2023, but that’s just a first prediction for Mickey’s comeback.

Will Neve Campbell Star in Season 2 of The Lincoln Lawyer?

Luckily yes! As mentioned above, Neve Campbell will be back in her role as Maggie McPherson in Season 2, but her role has been reduced from a series regular to a recurring one. Campbell landed the lead role in the upcoming ABC series avalon out The Lincoln Attorney Creator David E Kelley.

It’s bittersweet that we won’t be seeing Campbell in every episode, and possibly without a dedicated storyline for the entire season, we’re still excited to see Maggie show up throughout the season and see what the future might hold for her Series.

What book is The Lincoln Lawyer season 2 based on?

During the 2011 movie The Lincoln Attorney adapts Mickey Haller’s first book, the Netflix series adapts the second: The Brass Judgment. Prior to the renewal announcement, it was unclear whether the series would enter the book order for any subsequent seasons. But in this case The reversal would be next in season 2.

Variety reports The Lincoln Attorney Season 2 will also have 10 episodes and will be based on the book The fifth witness this is the fourth book in the series.

There are six Mickey Haller books in total by author Michael Connelly, leaving five more for the Netflix series. The character also appears in a series of Bosch Books that also break down this door.
