The journalist claims the club are ‘shocked’ at how the Arsenal and Tottenham target are performing

Arsenal and Tottenham target Leandro Trossard has made headlines with his antics at Brighton.

It was Alex Crok by talkSPORT who claimed Mikel Arteta is interested in the Belgium international.

Elsewhere, Tottenham are said to have been in contact with Brighton over a deal for Trossard – according to 90min.

So what happened now? Let’s take a look…

What’s the matter?

Well, respected journalist Graeme Bailey believes Brighton are “shocked” at how their No11 has been acting lately.

Roberto De Zerbi told the media today that Trossard has left training after being told he would not play Middlesbrough in the FA Cup, nor would he be included in the squad to face Liverpool on Saturday.

The Italian said it would be “no problem” if the Belgian wanted to find a new club and urged the attacker to improve his attitude if he wanted to stay at the Amex Stadium.

Sky Sports quote De Zerbi as saying: “Leandro is not on the list of players for tomorrow. The last training session before the Middlesbrough game, when he realized he wasn’t going to play, he left the session without telling me and it’s not good.

“I don’t know the transfer market, whether he wants to change teams or not. It is not my problem. I’m a coach, just a coach and the first eleven, while I’m the coach, I decide.”

Arsenal should leave Trossard to Tottenham

We think Arsenal should leave Trossard to Tottenham if they approach Mykhaylo Mudryk.

Arteta was forced to wait for his project to start while weeding out disruptive players like Mesut Ozil and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

So it wouldn’t make any sense at all to bring in Trossard, who obviously has attitude problems of his own.

Also, the Gunners don’t exactly have much need for the Belgian as Mudryk looks set to arrive so he would most likely be on the bench.

Still, keep an eye on Trossard’s situation because anything can happen.
