The highest-paid coaches in US esports have been revealed, with just one NBA boss making the exclusive list of the rich

IF you want to make a fortune as a head coach, the NFL seems like the place to be.
According to Sportico, six of the ten highest-paid professional coaches in the United States call the NFL home.

Three hail from college football while only one hails from the NBA world.
At the top, unsurprisingly, is Bill Belichick.
His six Super Bowl titles with the New England Patriots are the most by a single coach in NFL history, while he’s just 20 wins away from equaling Don Shula as the most successful coach.
Belichick reportedly earns an annual salary of $20 million — a whopping $5 million more than the second highest-earning coach.

Next up is another longtime NFL star in Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll.
Carroll is the longest-serving and most successful coach in Seahawks history and has the nineteenth most wins in league history.
He is succeeded by one of the next generation of coaches – Sean McVay of the Los Angeles Rams.
McVay makes around $14 million a year, and it looks like he’ll do so until at least 2026, when his newly signed contract extension ends.
In fourth place we have the only NBA representative in the top ten in Gregg Popovich of the San Antonio Spurs.
Popovich has been with the Spurs since 1997 and is now the most successful head coach in NBA history.
He’s also third with five championship wins – no wonder he’s set to make $13 million this season, $3.5 million more than any other coach in the league.
The NFL then returns to round out the top 5 with Pittsburgh Steelers’ Mike Tomlin.
Despite being 21 years his junior, Tomlin is just five wins behind Carroll.
Therefore, there is every chance that Tomlin could end his career as one of the top ten or even the top five most successful coaches in the league.
He currently earns $12.5 million annually.
Next up are two other NFL head coaches in Andy Reid of the Kansas City Chiefs and John Harbaugh of the Baltimore Ravens, who will each earn $12 million.
Reid currently has the fifth-most wins in league history while Harbaugh is 26th in the rankings.
Alabama’s Nick Saban is the next and highest-earning college head coach, which seems fitting given that he’s won more national championships than anyone.
His $11.8 million salary is just $300,000 more than Clemson’s Dabo Swinney – who is just five wins away from becoming the most successful coach in Tigers history.
Rounding out the top ten is Georgia’s Kirby Smart.

His .840 win rate is the highest of any Bulldogs coach to date (with the exception of Brian McClendon, who coached just one game).
Smart earns an average of $11.3 million.
