The Greenbrier Mall goes on lockdown as Chesapeake cops rush to shoot just weeks after a gunman killed six at nearby Walmart

POLICE are responding to a reported shooting incident outside a Virginia mall, according to local media.

The Greenbrier Mall is in Chesapeake, Virginia — the city rocked by a gunman who killed seven people, including himself, at a nearby Walmart just weeks earlier.

The Chesapeake Police Department confirmed this to the local outlet WAVY that they are at the scene outside of the mall where the shooting reportedly occurred.

Online chatters suggested the mall was locked down due to the incident.

According to additional statement by WAVY it was reported by Chesapeake PD that no one was injured at the time.

The shopping center is now also being evacuated for safety reasons.

Police still have no suspect in custody.
