‘The Godfather of Harlem’ Renewed for Season 3 at Epix

Harlem’s Godfather will continue to walk the streets, with a renewal for a third season of 10 episodes, it was announced on Thursday. The Epix TV series, starring Forest Whitaker, will begin production this summer in New York.
The series “tells a story inspired by notorious crime boss Bumpy Johnson (Whitaker), who in the early 1960s returned from 11 years in prison to find the neighborhood he once ruled in a state of disrepair. chaos,” according to the official synopsis.
In Season 3, Bumpy continues to “fight for control of Harlem, with other aspirants to the throne, namely the Cuban Mafia from neighboring Spain’s Harlem. Confronting the Cuban mob will place Bumpy, his loved ones, and his community in the crosshairs of not only his Italian opponents, but ruthless Latino assassins and, ultimately, the CIA. ”

* The 27th annual Critics Choice Awards, originally scheduled for January 9, will now air live on Sunday, March 13 at 7 p.m. ET on The CW and TBS.
* Fox’s Welcome to Flatch, a single cam documentary inspired by BBC Studios’ This country, will open Thursday, March 17 at 9:30/8:30c. That same day, the first seven episodes will be available on non-linear platforms, including Hulu, Fox Now, and On Demand. Watch the trailer here.
* Six-episode procedural crime comedy Murderville, starring Will Arnett, will premiere on Thursday, February 3 on Netflix. In the series, for the murder, Senior Detective Terry Seattle (Arnett), “every day means a new murder case and a new celebrity guest star is his partner.” according to the official summary. “But here’s the highlight: the guest star of each episode was not given a script. They don’t know what’s going to happen to them. Together, the guest star and Terry Seattle will have to improvise their way through the case… but it will be up to each celebrity guest to name the killer. Celebrity guests include Annie Murphy, Conan O’Brien, Ken Jeong, Kumail Nanjiani, Marshawn Lynch and Sharon Stone.
* Love is blind Season 2 will premiere its first five episodes on Friday, February 11. The four sequels will be released next Friday, with the finale scheduled for February 25. Watch the teaser:
