The former NFL star fuels The Theory League and is “rigged” with wild claims that top-level football is “written like WWE.”

CLAIMS that the NFL is rigged have flooded social media lately, prompting a former player to join the debate.

Former Houston Texans running back Arian Foster, 36, went into detail on how the NFL is “scripted” on his macrodosing podcast alongside PFT Commenter.

Looking back on his playing days and the training sessions in particular, Foster explained: “We really made a commitment [the script].

“Well, it was more like that, that’s what practicing was about, it was about practicing the script. This is how it goes. We have to do that.”

He went on to compare their practices to WWE, saying, “We know what’s going to happen, but you still have to put on a show.”

However, when asked about his thoughts on the screenplay, which stated that his “career would fall off a cliff if you stopped believing in God,” Foster said, “oddly, the screenwriters had nothing to do with it.”

“There was just more to it that they needed a change of scenery in Houston.

“So they wanted to get everyone out of Houston, that was the ultimate goal.”

If it wasn’t already, it was obvious at this point that they were joking.

This became particularly clear when PFT then suggested trimming that segment comment and pairing it with a take by Foster and his former colleague Larry Johnson – who has previously been accused of spreading conspiracy theories.

Given that Foster has a background in acting, having appeared in the 2014 film Draft Day, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that he maintained such a convincingly serious face throughout the segment.

And since the discussion went viral, several current and former NFL players have chimed in with their reactions to various “scripts” over the years.

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara called: “When they handed me the script for our season during camp, I almost jumped out of the facility bra [unimpressed emojis]”

NFL Hall of Famer Kurt Warner commented: “Someone throws away my script every week before I arrive I guess… or maybe it was like the Truman Show – I was just one who wasn’t on it!?? [shrugging emoji]”

Former Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Robert Griffin III shared a GIF of Will Smith falling to the ground in tears along with the subtitle: “Reading the end of the script for 2012”

Former quarterback Dan Orlovsky shared a clip of his infamous safety play in the end zone. labeled: “Fully scripted [shrugging emoji]”

Then there was ex-quarterback Ryan Leaf, widely regarded as one of the greatest draft busts of all time wrote his career and later in prison: “Oh, it’s definitely a script.

“You won’t believe what I got for my performance.

“I’ll be honest there were times I thought about just walking out of that jail cell and saying keep it I can’t do this anymore but no I’m living this @nfl billionaires club life now!”
