The former England and Tottenham star will become a free agent aged 31 after being sacked from troubled League One club

Former Tottenham defender Steven Caulker is now a free agent after being sacked by Wigan.
The 31-year-old went through Tottenham’s academy before making 29 appearances for the north London club.
After a series of loan stints, he left Spurs in 2013 and made the permanent move to Cardiff City, where he spent a season before returning to QPR in London.
Caulker was intermittently loaned to Liverpool later in his career and even played under Jurgen Klopp – albeit as an emergency striker for three minutes.
After stints in Scotland and Turkey, he signed for Wigan on a free transfer until the end of the season in January this year.
However, the great centre-back’s contract has now expired and Wigan are letting him go as a free agent, they said in a statement Association statement.
Caulker joins the list of six first-team players set to leave DW Stadium this summer, including captain Tendayi Darikwa.
The Latics will play in League One next season after finishing bottom of the championship that season, where they start with a four-point deduction for not paying their players on time.
Caulker will be looking for a new club despite his extensive CV which includes an England cap.
The London-born defender earned an England cap against Sweden in 2012 and even scored a goal on his debut.
