RICKY SEALS-JONES is poised for a return to the NFL after signing with the Indianapolis Colts ahead of the upcoming season.

The tight end was a free agent after an injury ended his chances of playing in the 2022 season.

But the 28-year-old was picked up by the Colts in the middle of the pre-season.

Seals-Jones has been in the NFL since 2017 despite not drafting college.

He played two seasons with the Arizona Cardinals and also played for the Cleveland Browns, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Washington Football Team.

The tight end has scored ten touchdowns in his career so far.

Seals-Jones’ best season was in 2018 with the Cardinals, when he had 34 catches for 343 yards and a touchdown.

His last stint with the New York Giants didn’t go according to plan and he was fired ahead of the 2022 season.

He joined the team in the off-season but ended up on injury reserve due to a toe injury.

Seals-Jones was released with a claims settlement and had to sit out the 2022 season as he recovered.

The 28-year-old celebrated joining his new team with a social media post.

He wrote, “I have prayed for this, and the Lord has granted the desires of my heart.”

Meanwhile, the Colts are still struggling at running back with star Jonathan Taylor in a contract standoff.

Kareem Hunt has visited the team for training but no deal has yet been struck.
