The forgotten ex-Man Utd star had Premier League clubs in line for him after his relegated return

ROBERT PAGE reckons Premier League clubs will be lining up to sign Welsh star Dan James.
Relegated Leeds sent the winger on loan to Fulham this season.
James joined Yorkshire from Manchester United in 2021 in a £30m deal.
He will return to action at Elland Road next week following the Euro 2024 qualifiers with Armenia and Turkey.
And Dragons boss Page is convinced the 25-year-old will be a Prem target.
Page, 48, said: “If I’m a Premier League manager and I found him available I would take him.
“I have to say that because I’m his Welsh coach but he always poses a threat to me.”
James played for Wales at last year’s World Cup but only started twice for Marco Silva’s Cottagers after Qatar.
The 43-time star is a regular at Page’s side – even more so since his lucky charm Gareth Bale retired in January.
Page’s experiment in pairing James with Bale as a centre-forward failed.

The flying wideman is now playing his preferred role on the left flank again.
Wales are at a training camp in Portugal preparing for Friday’s game in Cardiff against Armenia.
Page added, “Dan picked one up for the team. It’s been a frustrating couple of months for him as a centre-forward.
“It’s the back-end option and when you have a tool like that in your arsenal, it’s really effective.”
