The exact date you’re due for an average $2,200 tax refund depends on your filing status

MILLION Americans have received an average tax refund of $2,200, and many taxpayers can expect to receive their 2021 tax refund less than three weeks after filing.

New data from IRS found that 4.3 million Americans received tax refunds on returns filed in 2022.

Another 131,000 received direct deposit for unfiled returns before the current tax season.

These numbers are good news for warned taxpayers challenges and processing delays this season, even though tax filings opened 17 days earlier than in 2021.

The IRS says that taxpayers direct deposit request can expect to see their refund in three weeks or less.
