The ex-MLB star has been criticized for sharing a “stupid” conspiracy theory about Damar Hamlin

THE sports world went into shock after Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field earlier this month.

On Jan. 2, the 24-year-old suffered cardiac arrest while playing against the Cincinnati Bengals.

He was resuscitated on the Paycor Stadium lawn before being taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

The Monday Night Football game was postponed and eventually canceled altogether.

Over the coming hours and days, fans and viewers alike gathered in prayer, sent messages of goodwill and donated to his fundraiser, which eventually reached $9 million.

Thankfully, Hamlin has made a remarkable recovery, posting updates on his social media, particularly during Bills games, and even going to Highmark Stadium last weekend to watch live as the Bills were knocked out of the NFL playoffs by the Bengals .

But it seems that two-time MLB World Series champion Aubrey Huff, 46, isn’t convinced all is as it seems.

Recently he went to Twitter, saying: “Isn’t it weird that @BuffaloBill’s Damar Hamlin was the biggest story for two weeks. Now we have media silence. No social media post of him, picture or live video. Something fishy.

“@NFL is either covering up his death or he’s in bad shape.”

And when a fan commented and said, “He just tweeted yesterday,” Huff doubled down on his stance with, “Wow, dumbest comment in the thread. Congratulation.”

Another fan simply taunted him, saying: “Amazing that the entire Bills organization from teammates to coaching staff to admin etc can keep this a secret.

“You must have a really good reason. I bet the NFL gave them $100 each.”

In the meantime, Hamlin has apparently already responded to doubters this weekposted a photo of him standing next to a mural of himself along with the caption, “Clone [ninja emoji]”
