The Everett, Washington courthouse is locked down while police deal with the suspect “with multiple guns and a bulletproof vest.”

A COURT BUILDING is cordoned off while police negotiate with a gunman in the lobby, according to authorities.
The Snohomish County Courthouse and surrounding buildings were placed under lockdown this afternoon.

Snohomish County Police said on Twitter at 2:07pm PST that police are still negotiating with the suspect.
According to that The HeraldAround 1:30 p.m., dozens of police officers arrived at the scene.
Police told the outlet that no injuries were reported.
Selena Rios told the newspaper she was arriving at the courthouse with her five-year-old son at 12:25 p.m. when an armed man entered.


The man “appears to have multiple guns and a bulletproof vest,” she said.
According to Rios, he refused to lay down his arms when asked to do so by the police.
She and her son were barricaded in a room when the courthouse locked down.
Roads in the area are also closed.
